Howdy Party People,
I'm Keltrien Baker, the new Dreamland Events & Community Development Angel. I'm proud to announce the Dreamland Events Grant. This exciting new program gives promoters grants of up to L$8,000/month to run weekly events in Dreamland.
Promoters will be given a venue to hold their event, help with marketing, and free advertising in Dreamland media.
To apply for this grant, please send me a Private Message or notecard with the following info:
- Your SL Name - Your SL resume - Proposed Event Name - Detailed Event Description (tell me what you want to do, what you need to do it, who your target audience is, and why people will come back for more every week) - Your preferred day and time for your event
Applicants should be ready to commit to at least a three month run of their event. Selected promoters will place a high premium on immersion, role playing, and community building. Anyone with a good idea and the drive to make it work is highly encourage to apply.
One of the cool twists of the Dreamland Events Grant is that each event will be covered by one of our talented and creative writers. They will fictionalize the events and participants in an ongoing story blog covering the world of Dreamland set to launch in January.
I'm very excited to be working with Anshe. She's been incredibly enthusastic and generous with her support of all my efforts in helping to bring community and prosperity to her citizens.
Please get in touch with me or post if you have any questions that I can answer.

A bump for supporting player events!
I've had a few applications already, keep 'em coming!

From: Robin Linden Developer Incentives to be Phased Out by March 31, 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is to announce that we are planning to discontinue the Developer Incentive program by the end of March, 2006. Our aim is to phase this change in so that any disruption this causes any resident can be mitigated to some extent over a transitional period.
The program phase-out will begin January 1st, with the overall award amount for December capped at November levels. The total amount paid out will then be reduced by 33% each month beginning with the February 1 payment and ending with the final payment on April 1, 2006.
The Developer Incentive program was originally created as a way to recognize outstanding content creation in Second Life. But as many of you know, the program has not been a total success in rewarding the wide range of Second Life creativity. Our goal will be to replace the Developer Incentives with new programs designed to support the full scope of Second Life creators, beginning with the Developer Directory. If you have ideas or comments for these programs, please send them to us at proposal@lindenlab.com.! I assume you know about this ? = (

From: Bri Koolhaas I assume you know about this ? = ( I do. I'm just glad that Anshe's making the comittment to the Dreamland Grant. I know it won't replace the DI, but for those who apply and are accepted, it's close enough. I've approved one event and have two in the application process. We'll be launching in the first weeks of January and promise to offer a good time for all.
