Transferring land from one group to another

A friend and I put some of our land into a group (Call it group A) and now we have decided that we would be better served with a new group of just Land Owners of Group A (Call this Group B) So how do we get the land out of group A and into group B? And How do we do this without all of the objects being returned to our inventory during the transaction?

turn off auto-return for starters. Items will only be returned if you have auto-return turned on.

Then I think you would have to set the objects to the new group, and then turn auto-return back on.
