today I sold 2 parcels of group land
there is no record of transactions and no money was transferred into any accounts
if I dont receive payment immediately should I be conserned?
and when can I lower my tier?

and when can I lower my tier? As far as I know, it works like this: The money will be distributed amongst all group members tomorrow. If you take back your tier contribution from the group now, you can tier down.

What Cubey said, plus if you go to the Money tab of the group, you will be able to see that the group has the money from the sale.

how to sell group land

the basic way to do it
1) sell it from the group, to yourself for $0 (it will give you a tier warning)
2) remove your tier donation from the group for the parcel
3) go to the SL website and remove the tier warning (as you should have tier to cover now)
4) sell it from your individual account for the desired price
any other way is going to be an absolute utter mess

any other way is going to be an absolute utter mess Yes! That's true. But you'll need 10% extra tier in either the group or your own account to make it happen. The tier warning is scary the first time that you do this, but when you do Step 3 it will tell you that you don't need to increase your tier. If it still wants you to increase your tier in step 3, then it is probably because you didn't do step 2 or you don't have the 10% bonus tier that you lost when you took it out of the group. not sure if that's clear, but anyway...
