Because I found a better location, is my first land option gone now?

Once First Land is bought, it becomes normal land. You can then sell your first lot at market prices (between 3 and 6 times the L$512 you paid) and buy a better lot, or trade up to something larger.
It is advisable to offer your lot to your neighbors initially, as they are the ones who will most profit from buying it. Make sure you check other resales in the same Sim, and similar Sims, before putting a sale price on your lot. You can then buy any other land under Find/Land Sales (or check the map under the Land For Sale tab) - except a Linden-owned First Land lot. these are reserved for first-time buyers (as you yourself were!) _____________________
