Because I'm tired of having to Force Sun every time I log in.

That should be part of the next update :).

Please don't do this :( I know that some regions make a very great effort to set the sun to a specific level and build the region to match it. In Suffugium, we've built the entire region to be viewed at the sim sun level, and we've set the colors to match. It's just not the same experience if you view it at noon.

If you're having trouble seeing, mess with the Gamma and Night Brightness settings in preferences.

I agree. I prefer to live in SL by their day/night cycles. If someone must live in a perma-noon, what is wrong with having to Force at the beginning of the session? It might just remind them that the light they're seeing is not necessarily what most other people are seeing.

Ok, if your name is Dracula, I can see why you might need to Force Midnight but otherwise......

Why do you guys come argue on something that doesn't concern you.
It's about what WE see, not what YOU see.
And we choose what we want to see.

I like to always see everything perfectly, that's why noon is required.
It's a "preference" and it should be remembered by the software.
Now if you like wasting time repeating a task that's your problem.

Isn't that called "insanity" where one repeats a tast over and over hoping for a different result?

Either that or a temporal causality

The key word here is "different".

You guys, WindLight is replacing the current system soon...

OP: You'll have complete control of the sky at all times. Actually, I forgot whether the sun moves at all in the last FL:WL release.

Estate owners: When WindLight is first released, it'll be client-side only, so control over how our creations are lit has already been taken away.

That complete control is not saved.

Same here and also disable camera constraints. Those two needs to set "save" option (a.k.a lock)

Sigh. Why don't you just learn a little bit of courtesy and respect when talking online? It costs nothing and it makes the online experience BETTER for people instead of WORSE.

All we were doing were pointing out to you that SL has a day/night cycle, just like RL. But at least SL gives you the option to disregard the cycle, which you cannot do in RL. And all I was doing was pointing out to you that requiring users to Force Sun each session at least then reminds you that the majority of other users might not be seeing what you are choosing to see. Think of Force Sun as a privilege, not a right.

Now everything that we can do in SL but not in RL is going to be a privilege ? bouhahaha
Why do you repeat yourself...
Follow the cycle if you want, I won't tell you what to do because I respect your choice and I'd like mine to be respected too.
Now if you really wanted to make online experience better you would be courteous by not trying to tell people what to do when it only concern themselves and not at all you.
Obviously you don't understand what's primordial to me and the others.

Since you don't understand courtesy, then I've nothing more to say to you, there is obviously no point repeating myself.
