How about the option, when creating a group, to allow Officers to use any monies the group has? For example, the group has $5000, and wants to purchase land, one of the officers would be allowed to buy on behalf of the group.

I think all the members of the group should vote on this before the officer is allowed to do so. We don't want embezellers.

in my previous post, i mentioned that it should be an 'option', and not standard. it wouldnt necessarily make sense for all groups, but definately would for others. the feature could be something like this: when you setup the group, you check the 'Financial Permissions for Officers' checkbox. then, when the group is finalized, the members are required to vote on this option. this would make sure that ALL members are onboard with the idea and agree to it. also, whenever a transaction is made by an Office on behalf of the group, all members should be notified by IM. something like that might work..  |
