Now, as a heavy user of physics and movement for many of my builds, one of the most peevish thing I've found is the fact that any AV can freeze the movement of anyobject by simply selecting Edit. Now, we have the facilities to stop Block Grabs by other AVs, wouldn't it be nice to have the same for a physical object? In that, if I have an object running under its own power, that I can dissallow AVs from stoping its movement by simply clicking "Edit" out of their radial menus. This problematic issue effects many objects... Just this evening, I wanted to rate someone positive on their creation, a cute little yellow airplane. Well needless to say, I clicked edit, and the passenger of said airplane was stuck in midair, until I released them. Ack! How horrible Even if there was a limitation to this, whether it be that it only applies if above your own land, or that the land owner can specify whether this option is allowed on their land. I can see some possible abuses, but with a little creativity, these abuses could be kept to a minumum. Anyone else agree with me on this or have an opinion to offer?

I agree it can be troubling for some things, but other things I've been thankfull Edit stops the physical movement.
Maybe make an LSL call for it? So you can put it in a finished vehicle script?
I'm not sure, thats my only idea for it. It can be a cursing and a blessing.

The thing is, we're going to need suppot for disallowing the grabbing and freezing of physical and moving object in order for any of these games in LL's competition to work successfully without griefing. Otherwise, you can cheat at just about anything.

I have thought the same thing for some time. Make it an LSL call.

Cool, so I'm not the only one... Maybe something through the llSetStatus facility might be in order... Heck, also, who agrees, they also need to add "llSetStatus(MAKE_ME_COFFEE, TRUE);"

Ya this issue came about when LW first came out. It sucks but it would probably suck more if someone made an object that bumps & follows you and you're not able to click and stop it. Now that we have better reporting tools, I don't see why it shouldn't go in now.

I saw this happen and it reminded me that it's time to report this as a bug. Nobody should be able to freeze my airplane in mid-air just by right clicking on it and selecting 'Edit' and hold my vehicle hostage until they release edit.

Also, anything where physical action determines results, like a bingo-ball mixer (to use a silly but simple to describe example), can't be run autonomously without fear of tampering by players. There has o be a host watching for interference by people grabbing or edit-halting objects.
We don't halt AVATARS when right clicking them for info. it should be the same for objects owned by other people that have had this functionality disabled, either through a function call or a check box.
