So in 1.0 when you drag something out of your inventory, it moved it. When you shift-drag something it would copy it.
Now in 1.1 when you drag it copies it if you have permissions, and when you shift drag... it copies it if you have permission. Can we have shift-drag do moves now that drag copies? I'm finding my inventory gets extremely cluttered if I don't pay very close attention to things. It's especially annoying for "master" copies of furniture and the like that I sell, when I want to pull it out, make some changes, and not have the previous version around.
I understand this was changed because of "hey where'd my item go?" with the default behavior, but I don't think removing move as an option is right either.

I noticed that too. If you remove an item from inventory and then put it back (unless used as an attachment) you will have two of that item. I dont like it! Inventory takes long enough to load and now I am constantly deleting duplicated objects.

Paleolithic interface

The interface for the inventory is more like paleolithic computing in that you cant drag multiple items, therefore inventory maintenance becomes a 30-60m affair if you shop like i do.
Am i missing some sort of special command that would allow me to select multiple items and drag them to a nother folder?
Currently I just try to make a folder as near as possible to the bulk of the items I need to move, and then move them into that new folder and next move that folder to a new place.
Im originally a Macintosh user so please forgive any ignorance I have for this windows computing stuff.
Im also using XP if it matters.

Briana -- Nope. Multiple inventory item select has been an oft-asked for feature change. Do you try opening multiple inventory windows? It's still a pain, but at least it's a little less of a pain that way. (from inventory window, go to file and then select 'open new window' -- that's IIRC, as I'm at w*rk)

Wow, thats great, better than that multi-step process I have been torturing myself with. Even though it's not dragging of multiple items I'll have a better experience with the advice you have given! Thank you Briana Dawson
