Here's an idea, instead of us having to manually input the coding ourselves, how about give us menu items to work with in the UI.

For example, if you want to add a script to an object, you would say,

'add script here'
Then, a list of things for the object to do would pop up in the most simplist form you could try to deal with (I hope).

Say for example, you'd like to have an object jump. Instead of using the llJump command whatever that might be, you would have a menu option to add that feature to the list of the script. For my object, it would mean programming all the buttons through menus rather than indvidually code them all. It would make it a much easier process.

Kinda like having a code library built right into the system for the common user to handle scripting better.

Very cool idea, but I'm sure that would take many Linden hours to do.

Maybe if they left it open ended for us users to "program" these buttons.

Like the gestures thing. We have a script hotkey section that we can put/program different script types and have a hotbutton that we can label that will put the preprogrammed code into any script we are working on.

This could lead to more user customizations, instead of haveing preset not changable ones.

Umm, what exactly do you mean by "instead of"? I would far prefer to just type my scripts in by hand.

I think what you are talking about is similar to the "easy-mode" ActionScript editor in Flash.

Ok then, how about the ability to switch back and forth between the two? Simple mode, advanced mode. Seems to beable to be a compromise there.
