In no particular order..

1) Why is it that when I log I get to watch an Inventory loading progress bar, which completes, before then being told my Inventory hasn't in fact loaded at all. What is the point? Either its loading, so show a progress bar, or it isn't.

And I completely don't understand why my Inventory cannot be held locally in some way, so that all that needs to load are the changes since I last logged. Surely this cant be beyond Linden techies to sort out?

In a persistent world where all the content is user created, it seems poor that the more creative we get the slower our entry into the world becomes.

2) Most of us are involved in multiple projects spread across Secondlife, and many people own disparate plots of land. Surely it is time to allow more than one teleport point? I'm not asking for an end to telehubs, I can see the worth of those, but maybe allowing us to teleport directly to our 5 Top Picks perhaps?

3) When doing a bulk upload of textures, there really should be an option to stop the constant pop-up confirmation messages, they are deeply irritating and stop you doing much else for the duration of the loading. I would also like the ability to prefix or suffix all of them with a label of my choice.

4) Allowing the creator of an object to actually be a Group rather than an individual would be nice. As far as I can tell this isn't possible (if it is please explain how). I know we can allow Group members to manipulate stuff, but sometimes it would be nicer to allow all group members equal credit and equal permissions.

5) I strongly believe that the 30m or 40m Link distance Limit is now too small. The urban sims with double prim allowance are clearly arranged to encourage higher builds, but the link limit makes creating anything really interesting a very painful experience. Not so bad if you are always building at the intended site - but if you wish to move a large build that doesn't fit neatly to Grid, it becomes extremely tricky.

The limit to the camera movement, and the select distance also conspire to seriously hamper big builds that are more ambitious than a pile of 10x10 floors stacked on top of each other.

Why limit us in this way, it seems strangely at odds with the freeform nature of SL?

There's more but I will stop at this point.. :)

I've always kind of figured the progress bar for loading inventory is a form of "punishment" for using more database space. It's obvious that I'm already in-world to everyone else before the progress bar even gets halfway, as I can hear people typing and when the view finally does come up, people have already greeted me several lines of chat back.

I have mixed feelings about more arbitrary teleporting. I'm wondering if the old system where we paid to teleport was probably better in some ways. Some thinking needs done on this.

Link distance may have something to do with sim edges. The greater the link distance, the more things will ghost at the edges of sims (causing them to be phantom and / or physics to not operate correctly).

I agree the camera needs the ability to move further from our avatar than it currently allows. It's very frustrating to work with large builds and have to keep moving your avatar around to keep various parts in view.

1) This kinda bugs me too, I kinda understand the reasoning for it, but it sucks to actualy be standing there in world for a minute when I actualy can't see anything thats going on, then you miss messages from people and such when they think you can see them... having to ask if someone is fully loaded or not... just weird. Unless theres some technical issue, I would suggest maybe an Opt-Out of the loading progress bar, this way newbies wouldn't be confused, but older people with large inventories who know the whole routine could still chat without the waiting.

2) YES. Something like this would be greatly appreciated, I thought "My Picks" would have an option like this, but alas, I don't see why it would hurt that much to have the 10 My Picks be directly teleportable to. Unless teleporting is such a huge draw on the systems... then you could maybe ask for a 10L$ charge for each teleport. The main problem I didn't like with the pay-for-teleport thing was that it could get pretty high if you wanted to teleport further. A flat rate would maybe help this. Teleports to Telehubs would still be free (so would summons), and you could only access the direct teleport through the My Picks maybe? It seems direct teleports are becoming more and more limited with the now change of not being able to set home to someone else land even if they don't mind.

3) I haven't had this problem myself, but I wouldn't mind the option.

4) This would be nice too.

5) I'm not sure about this, I think theres technical limits as Kex stated.

NOT My Picks!

I'm using those for what they're there for... MY PICKS. Not my other homes. I honestly don't WANT to be able to teleport to someone else's land instantly. And I don't want anyone being able to teleport to my land instantly.

Make something else. Something related to the Home thing. Or the map. Or SOMETHING. Not My Picks.
