New Avatar Templates - Non-human

I apologize if this has been mentioned already. I searched briefly and didn't find anything about it.

Currently when we enter the appearance menu, we can choose from a Male or a Female avatar. I would like to make the suggestion to add additional types of avatar templates which would allow us to create non-human creatures.

It would work like this: When you enter the appearance menu, there would be additional choices to male and female, like tetrapod, for example, which would have different sliders that would allow you to shape a four-legged creature. You could use this tetrapod template to model large felines or wolves.

Other templates could be added to the mix as well. You won't find a "tail length" slider under male and female, but you might see it in the tetrapod template.

etc, etc...

Nice idea Jade, but I dunno about four legged critters. I would think that for one thing animating four legged creatures is way more complex than two. And would of course require a whole new animation set anyway.

Mind you, I'd LURVE to see the 8 dance moves as performed by a cow...

Yes, I was thinking about animations as well. Rumor has it we may have custom animations in 1.4 though. :) It would certainly take some time to program different animations for the new templates, but it doesn't seem entirely too complex. Perhaps just time consuming.

SL is becoming more and more like a game i had imagined about a year ago..

of course, mine was meant for console gaming (Xbox in particular)..

..so, besides being jealous, i endorse this feature!!!!!!!!

i would welcome the ability to at least have avatar bodies that could be made extremely skinny (think stick figure). This would allow me much more freedom with the prim-based costumes I create for my store.

Knees that bend backward would be cool too.

This is a great idea. It's been discussed before, but i have nothing against it being brought up again and again - we need quadraped AVs!!

Also, this is a cabbit, at least in the Tenchi universe...

I HIGHLY endorse this feature/idea.

I really REALLY want to be able to do this.

It would be harder to do, but well worth it when you can be a fully animated and such and look more realistic than using a bunch of attachments.

Even the option to remove a limb would be nice. At least something not so "human". It also kills me repeatedly how big the smallest av you can make is. Please let us get smaller at least!
