Hi all, I've spent some time to look for an answer to my question in KB and Forum, but didn't succeed. So I post it here, hope to get a friendly answer. Camera looks always from above on my avatar , so I always have this 'godlike' perspective watching 'my creature'. This does not convince me. I would like to have a more WoW-like camera perspective. which was more realistic cause camera was placed in head height of the avatar. With that perspective you see more horizon and less ground - which is much more natural for human beings (except for airplane pilots and dragon flyers ). Is it possible for me to change that camera angle? At the moment my workaround is to look around in mouselook mode, that's the right view for me, but I would like to see my avator in front while walking around with that camera angle. Thanks for your patience, Jherek

There are scripts that can fix that. Do a search for "camera HUD" on xstreet. There is also a free script by Argent Stonecutter (the "Tinycam" that can easily be adjusted to your needs. I hate the default camera and use this script to default it to a lower, over the shoulder view.

You could try Advanced > Debug Settings > CameraOffsetDefault. Changing the Z value to 0 will have the effect it sounds like you want, after a relog.

Yes, debug will work too, but keep in mind that you won't be able to switch it on and off then. And you will have to set the values each and every time you install a new viewer or use another PC. My settings are like these: cameraAngle 0.947 CameraOffsetDefault -1.500 0 0.025 I prefer a script that I can control.

Thank you very much, first thing was to change Debug Settings because this could be done immediately. Was exactly, what I meant. Thank you. Now I'm exploring (already with my new view angle ) xstreet to get that 'camera HUD' script, but I'm not quite sure whether I will find it .... SL is still not an easy-to-step-in world for me, for allmost 5 years now ... but I'm still excited every time I enter, so I will try on the next years too, hopefully one day they will have found the way to attract me permanently. All the more it is an important factor to have contact to a friendly community, which likes to share it's knowledge - so thank you again for your quick reply. Jherek Olafson
