Or any folder for that matter. I could be wrong, there's a lot of features and I probably don't know all of them. But there seems to be three options to delete junk in inventory; whack the whole folder, use "empty all trash", or right click...purge...right click...purge....argh. I'm always grateful that I didn't clear out all my trash because I find stuff in there from time to time. But I have probably hundreds of "object" and man would I just like to delete all of them in one shot, it would cut my trash in half.

This has probably been threaded before but I haven't seen it, and it's a worthy one. I would have a lot cleaner inventory (and be using a lot less storage) if this feature existed.

while standing around chatting I have spent literally HOURS working on my trash. I dont want to delete everything since, as you stated you DO find forgotten goodies in there. Guess what? My trash is nowhere near empty. At this rate I doubt it'll EVER be empty unless some sort of user friendly tool were added. I really want to be able to highlight chunks to mass delete PLEASE oh PLEASE!

Great suggestion for shift select. We already have the code ready for shift select but we have not yet put it all together because multiple object drag and drop is not yet available. Once that is in, I would feel more comfortable with making it easier to grab multiple inventory items.

However - please, please, please do not think of the trash as a good place to keep goodies. We will probably begin emptying trash automatically in a future release.

Phoenix, we don't think of the trash as a good place to *keep* goodies -- it's simply where we *find* many forgotten goodies often.

If the trash is to be automatically emptied at some interval in the future -- any chance it could be set to:

a) only actually purge those items which have been in the trash for more than X days (say 7? 14?)

and b) mark those items which are next in line to be purged with a * or something?

That's probably a lot more trouble than y'all wanna go through over purging the trash, I'm sure -- but please do keep in mind while this part is being coded that we're not actually intentionally using the trash as a goodie storage receptacle =)

Huh...I used regedit to rename my Windows Recycle Bin to "Important Documents", and that is where I keep my work. Do you mean to tell me thats a bad idea?
