The comms box is massive compared to older versions. I'd like to take it down to letter box size to locate in a corner, as before.
Its a huge oblong and won't downsize beyond a certain point. It covers much of the visible SL world, which is too sad for words Its in the way during photo shoots, not using it causes the screen to fill with text, not conducive to photographing models.
PLEASE remove that restriction
Simple really

We complained profusely about it when it was still back in First Look. They said they'd fix it.
For now, get the Nicholaz viewer.

A lot of people said it was worse than the old one,
and yep sure is.
Its not horrible, but sure isn't an improvement.

Yes, this is a classic case of the Techies thinking they know best, and ignoring the needs of the majority of users, or even a significant minority, if anyone wants to argue that point. There simply is no reason the window *shouldn't* be resizable to a managable size, other than LL and the Techies don't want to be bothered doing it. I'm only thankful that some with the technical know-how, like Nicholaz Beresford, are not so out of touch with the community that they fail to see it's needs. That is LL's greatest issue right now. It's populated by people so out of touch with what the average user experiences, they can't even begin to fathom the issues and needs of their user base.
Sorry, I'm on a bit of a rant today.

nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/ Ahh a 3rd party overlay, brilliant I thought so read the comments: ------------------------------------------------- Sascha Vandyke said... Hi, looks like that it doesn't work perfectly with the new nvidia driver 169.21. The Avatar vertex program and shaders seem to not work . -------------------------------------------------- BUMMER, I upgraded the card at the weekend to the universal driver, which BTW works fine, oh so fine with current SL build

What are you saying, exactly? I'm confused. Are you saying that the Nicholaz viewer has a bug with regards to a single display driver that you use and as such the program should be avoided.... Or what?

So one person had a problem (ever seen the Technical Support forum here?) and said "it doesn't work with my driver."
What do you think Nicholaz next step is?
I don't know.
Maybe fixing that problem?

Jeezus give us a break, I don't have a problem, cos I have never used it. I don't need a p[roblem, so i won't be using it and I'm sharing restrictions on the viewer to avoid YOU having problems if you do use it. It's just a simple statement that the Nicholaz interface is incompatable with the current graphics driver. SO YOU CAN'T USE IT UNTIL PROBLEM IS FIXED. This is about re-sizable comm boxes........... **********CLOSED***************

You asked for a better (i.e. the old) communication window.
I gave you a solution.
You don't want it, fine. Now go vote on the ungodly number of JIRA proposals asking for it to be fixed and stop complaining.
