"minimizing" panels

When I minimize a panel, such as a user profile, a script edit window, or a chat request dialog, it minimizes right on top of the last line of local chat text, without any way to move the minimized icon.

I know I could read the chat text by popping open that into a panel with Ctrl+H, but sometimes I don't want to put that into a panel. For example often I just want to jump between scripts while watching the chat go by at the bottom.

Would it be possible to minimize to the top of the screen instead, or let us move around the icons?

Thank you for reading =)

<rant>

And stop minimizing scripts on top of each other! ARGGHHHH!!

*ahem*

I'll second this, it would be very useful to be able to move the minimized icons around the screen.

It would be nice if the minimized "edit" panel didn't pop open at the slightest excuse.

Thirded! Fourthed! Fifthed!

Thanks, you just hit one of my favorite peeves with the current UI.

If this isn't on the list for the 1.2 UI changes, please do consider putting it there.

The ideal: minimize to an icon bar (with tooltips to identify each icon), which we can position at the left, right, or bottom edges of the screen, or under the menubar; and also have the option of "windowshading" a window in place by double-clicking on its title bar.
