Removing noise pollution

It's a personal preference, but on my own land, I don't like hearing music, sound clips, or anything other than the trees and crackling fire. When the neighbors have their music in a loop and they like it, it often carries way over to my place. I like having ambient noise and would prefer to be able to stop noise pollution rather than simply turning my speakers off. At the moment, I've had to turn on object beacons, find out where it's coming from, and politely ask my neighbors to turn down the level. They've all been very nice so far. But sometimes it means they can't enjoy their music either, because for some reason it plays quite loud to me even if I'm some distance away.

Would you like a feature where as a setting for land you can not hear any sounds originating from outside that land?

I also give props to a feature like this! Even tho I leave my music playing even when I am not there, most of the time....

Yes Philip, that would be awesome!
A setting like that would really help in themed areas where sound effects and music are working to create a particular atmosphere.

Block it BOTH ways.

And Phil? can we also have a knob that determines how far OUR noise radiates from our property?

I know that speech goes 20 meters (at least I think I know that) but that neatly finds it's way into the very center of the building next door. If I have a meeting, or a private conversation, I'd love to set the speech radious to something like Whisper - 5 meters radius. Otherwise, We're just sharing WAY too much.

So, yes. I'd like to be able to block sound coming in. But I'd also like to block sound going out.

Thanks :-)

Lots of good feedback, thanks.

We'll take a look at how hard these are to do.
