Ok the lindens say they are going to implement new group features, allow for more groups and its going to be coming soon. I'm still waiting! When are we going to see this? I have been maxed out on groups for months now.

These new features are expected to be released Real Soon Now as they are being implemented during the developers' copious free time.

The nuber of groups seem to have exloded over the years as everyone seems to have one just so they can set the title in there chat bubble.
OT: as far as 29A, 666, 1232, 1110011010 , XIXI(?)... It's A MYTH! The original number is wrong since roman numerials don't work that way. The numbers adding up to 666 spell "Caesar". |

Actually it's just the end of an era acording to the Mayans, when one calandar ends and another starts. basicaly just another day that ends with the letter Y Based on what I read it was an end of an Epoch, and this(the one we are in that is ending) is supposedly the last one. The last one, according to the Mayan's, was the great diluge. This is supported by other religions/cultures, over 600 flood myths only 90 of which are Judeo-Christian in origin. This one supposedly ends in fire, which Revelations seem to describe decently clearly (always sounded like a comet strike to me). They also seemed to think time was cyclical so who knows. But either way they didnt feel the need for a calander past that point. For this and more, read Fingerprints of the Gods by Graham Hancock. The Mahabarata/Ramana (sp?) (the indian (not native-american) national epic) he mentions is also fascinating reading, the texts of which are available on the net. Moral of story, everyone get your bunkers and bomb shelters PRIOR to the christmas season of '12 But I digress, I too wonder why so difficult to get this stuff implimented. _____________________

My Current Project (except while I'm gridmonkey this week) is working on the Group Roles project. (Don't worry I'm not working alone on it, I'm not even the lead on the project). The increase in number of allowed groups (to 25), decrease in required people in a group (to 2) and Group Notices will go out with Group Roles. This will go out sometime after 1.9.1, but other than that no ETA.
Hows that for a tease? _____________________

The date, Dec 21 (or 12, or 11, or even October) 2011 was so close to 2012 that it go crculated as "the world will end in 2012." Then people did digging for an exact date and foudn Decemer 21st. They just tacked the two together. And it isn't the end of the world, or even the end of an Age (Epoch). It's the start of the NEXT age. |

If its the start of the next age wouldnt that mean that its the end of this one? They could overlap, or there could be commercials in between epochs. Can't run the reality engine without paying some bills. _____________________

This post is ironic with christianity and the first post asking how soon is soon. Christ said he'd be back soon. Now thats a *soon* thats a tease! So sorry dude but *soon* is anything more than 1,950 or so years. ( real birth date AD 06 - aprox 46 years old) I'll check back to this post soon.
