I like to keep my inventory nice and organized but it gets a little cluttered when you have multiple avatars that you want to load quickly and have no copy items in it, because now instead of having all my items seperated into the different folds (Clothes, Objects, Body Parts, etc...) I have to drag them into a folder for the preloaded avatar. I came up with an interesting idea that would make this process far more simple and make it easier to organize your inventory and keep it organized, basically you could create an "avatar" item type, where you could right click your avatar and select "save all" or something, allowing you to name the file and then save it to your inventory, basically it would serve the same roll as a folder with all the worn items on the avatar in it, only now the items could be anywhere in your inventory and all you'd have to do is right click the file and tell it to wear all, then bam your avatar is put on and you didn't have to spend any time searching through your inventory.
Another organizing issue I have with SL is the friendslist, there is no way to organize it all. Like, I frequent a number of roleplay sims and have friends I play with only at certain sims, so it would be useful to be able to make folders or subcategories that would allow me to categorize where I know certain people from. It would be like most instant messangers out today, you can create numerous categories on your buddy list for things like Work, Family, and Friends or other things like that, and then you can usually collapse the categories if you only want to see who's online in a certain category, this would be a lot of help if you only wanted to know who was online in certain sims, or in certain groups of people you talk to.
Anyways, just a few suggestions I thought would be really helpful for keeping things clean and tidy.

You can do that by organising calling cards, but I think those are going to go away fairly soon.

The generalized version of this would be to implement pointers or shortcuts to items. This would allow you to create multiple instances of, say, a necklace and put them in different outfit folders, while still owning only one actual necklace, safe in your jewelry folder.
There are several JIRA issues requesting this type of feature. Vote for any and all of them...

a link would be great and shouldn't be too hard to do as well, i'd think. it could just spit out "Target not found" popup error if you happen to delete the original object too. Since every object have internal UUID, maybe the link could store the UUID so it remain intact even if you rename or move the original stuff?
