How bout an Open SL forum in the technical section?

I think there's a discussion feature for the Open SL stuff, separate from the forums (which LL probably still plans to remove eventually). It'll be mostly for development, but I think that the hope is people will work to make the official client better rather than making their own, so support for it will still be through the same channels.

If there is a place to have a threaded discussion similar to a forum in the open sl wiki it's location escapes me.

At https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Developer_communication_tools it says:

If you are having issues getting things built, and you just want to ask a quick question, please ask it in one of the "Technical Talk" forums.

and includes a link to the technical forums.

Seems to me it would make sense to have a separate forum for Open SL related questions rather than having them scattered about in the Linux or Mac or the Technical Issues forum. It would make it easier for people to find Open SL related stuff.

Hrm, I could have sworn there was, I probably just missed it entirely, but it wasn't the wiki. I'll look later.

Anyway though, I do actually like the idea, we could use a companion forum for feature suggestions, "SL Client Suggestions" which would basically be for the Open Source stuff mainly, things like better interface etc., and "SL Grid Suggestions" or such, which is for the Linden stuff for things like privacy, havok 4 etc. etc.
