Flipping textures

Rotating textures is a nice thing that we already have but how about being able to flip them. up/down, left/right.

Look through the top of your beer bottle and you should get a mirror effect. :)

On the pirate flag I mirrored the image in Photoshop then uploaded the images that way as well.

So I think that flag has 16 seperate images - hence the cell animation with correct placement on both sides.

I think setting the number of "repeats per face" to a negative number flips the texture.

is it possible to 'flip' textures on avatars too then? I've been thinking I might like my shirt texture on the other way better, wanted to try it, but I'm too lazy to flip it then upload a flipped version of it and was wondering if it's possible to flip textures in the avatar settings.
