It would be great for debugging if you could turn on a view option to see sensor arcs extending from objects. Much like object flags and the alpha and physics when holding Alt options, this would be ugly, and not intended to be left on, but it would be a great help for debugging.

My av mapper displays its range. It would be trivial to make it also show the arc if only we could cut objects with a script. It is still possible to draw the arc yourself if you use a little geometry.
