I would like to see a function where say, if you click on a menu item of "Builder Table", you get a popup window similar to the appearance editor. Instead of having the appearance part, the left half is the Edit window we all see when building objects. The right half could be the object display and manipulation area. I find it very difficult to build small objects, ie: glasses, belts, small weapons, small lamps or fixtures, etc. Many times I drag a small object from inv to a solid area only to find it deduct cash, but is nowhere to be found.

Here's a trick for ya: Open the Create tool (ctrl-4) then drag the item from inventory to the ground.

What's probably happening is that the objects you're dragging out are actually being created underground (probably because of the elevation you were at the last time you drug that object out / or created it).

Also a tip for getting those tiny objects right - you dont have to build small - Build in 2x or 3x size then use the stretch box to shrink to final size. Remeber though when doing this dont make any peices .01 in size in the larger model ( they wont shrink, thats the smallest width for many objects) keep peices to same scale - say .03 for a final .01 if your starting on 3X scale.
