Finding or seaching for users outside SL

While looking at the thread about the Omega name being retired, I decided to go look and see how many Epoch's their currently are.

Since I'm at work and can't actually play in SL, I was looking for a way to search for current members. This is when I found that there is no way to see the members without being in SL! There isn't even an efficient way of browsing through people who post on the forum.

I would like to suggest that there be a member directory available online. If nothing else at least have a member directory for the forums.

only way to get there, besides the link is to go to your private messages, then do a new private message and next to the field where you type in their name, is a find users link.

the list is only organized by firstname though, so it would be cool if we could see it by last names as well.

Uggh, that is evil. At least where it is hidden, and the way it is layed out right now anyways.

Actually I noticed while I was going through that list. It doesn't contain any of the users that joined after 1/8/2003.

hah, I joined on the 9th...oh well
