I would be nice to look at my friends list or someones profile and see if they are available next to their name like Online (busy) or (away). I have IMed people before for help in their stores and they get annoyed because they were in busy mode and it says on their profile not to disturb them when they are busy. Well ok? How am I supposed to know they were busy!

agreed.. How bout a little status symbol box and even a few more confugurable away states ala most independant IM platforms. Even an "appear offline" feature for times you just want to get some inworld work done or spend some quiet time with that special someone without being disturbed at all.
