Hi ;)

Some days ago i had an idea.

Sometimes people in SL have problems with there clothes.

I will talk about now only about the lower body:
We have: underpants, pants, skirt.

Ok, skirt isnt realy a clothing in SL...

Now an example:
-
Someone want to wear a tattoo on his legs.
And want to wear a swim suite over it. Its not possible, if you only have two underpants !

Now next example:
We are happy becahse we have our swimsuite as underpants AND pants !
We want to wear a tattoo on the leg and our swimsuite. ok tattoo as underpants and swimsuite as a pant. But now we want to have a second tattoo und the other leg too! Isnt possible again.

Same on the upper body.
Tattoo, undershirt (bra) and a shirt isnt possible...

Now my idea...

Isnt it possible to make a change in SL like this:

We all know Photoshop. Photoshop is wokrin with much levels/layers.

Layer 1
-Undershirt
-Shirt
-Jacket

Layer 2
-undershirt 2
-Shirt 2
-Jacket 2

All clothings in Layer 1 are over clothings of Layer 2.
Or Undershirt of Layer is over Undershirt2.

Like this:

Undershirt 1
Undershirt 2
Shirt 1
Shirt 2
Jacket 1
Jacket 2

what do you think about that ?

I hope all will understand me :) Sorry for my English ;)

that sounds good, but its going to be like 2020 before LL gets round to upgrading anything to do with the actual avatar, their too busy making new shinies.

new clothing layers dont make the programmers go oooooh! but making the clouds pink and purple and other colors keeps them happy.

the other thing you could do with regards to your tattoos, if they are made by the same tattooists, contant them and ask if they will combine the tattoos on to the same underpants/pants layers for you :D

With all the lag caused by avatars having dozens, hundreds and thousands of prims loaded on themselves and ARC's we need to make it possible to load up even more?

*begin sarcasm* Why don't we make it an option to wear multiple hair? Hair on our heads, hair on men's chests, hairy armpits, hairy legs ... each piece of hair made up of hundreds or thousands of flexi prims with bling! *end sarcasm* lol

I don't claim to be prim free, I generally carry an ARC of 1000 - 2000, but it seems self-defeating to lag the system down with more layers of something that we already have plenty of. And this doesn't take into account the effect of total inventory burden on the asset servers that adding more layers would introduce.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled whine (hehe).

Hon, this post was about non-prim clothing. Shirts and such. Not attachment points.

I do agree about attachment points though. We have plenty.

I do wish we had more 'static' points for various spots, but that's just because I wear things on all of the current statics normally, and occasionally want to wear just one more XD

I'd prefer a maximum amount of attachments, but a choice of where ot put them. Like if we had 2 on 'Pelvis' then we can't have one on a different spot, because our limit will be reached beforeall spots will be filled.
