Don't Save in Appearance

Hi i have noticed when you change something lets say my eyes and I don't want to create a new outfit or save it. I hit close and it asks Save All, don't save, or cancel. Well each time i hit don't save my eyes reverted back to their original color.

I didn't want to save over my original eye color or make a new outfit, i just wanted them to be different for a bit.

Make it so that don't save doesn't revert back to what you had before you changed your appearance.

Yes, i find to make small changes i always have to use the 'save as', and make a new set of eyes, which then appear in my general clothing folder. They add up after awhile hehe.

Aurelie's right, if you want to to keep your changes, you need to save them. There's nothing wrong (and a lot right) with making a whole wardrobe of different clothes (and body parts) to choose from.

When you're in the Appeance window, you'll need to decide if you want to change the appearance of your current eyes or if you want to keep those as they are and make a second pair, so you can switch back and forth. Just like a word processing program, "save" replaces your old version, and "save as" creates a new one. Of course, if you change your mind later and decide that you don't want both versions, you can just throw one of them out.

Note: "Create Outfit" just makes a new folder in your inventory and does a "save as" into it for each item that you select.

I understand that but what I'm saying is thats kind of annoying.


If say i Just feel like sporting a new pair of eyes for the day or for an event, to create a new folder would be a pain and extra stuff in my inventory.

Yes i could delete that folder after I was done, but does that actually happen? Of course not, we all have stuff in our inventories that we will never use and maybe once every few weeks we may attempt to clean it out lol.

I just think to be able to change something and not save it would be very nice.

Oh, BTW, you don't need to create a new outfit folder to save a single item. "Save as" just saves the item you're editing.

Get the eyes the way you want them.

Make an outfit.

Delete the rest of the outfit but the eyes and put the eyes in your main clothing folder

When you want to wear those eyes drag them to your avatar.

When you want to revert - Drag your normal outfit to your avatar.

PS: This isnt realy that much easier than just making a new outfit unless your OFTEN changing JUST your eyes.

The whole point of my suggestion was to not create an extra folder or items in your inventory. Perhaps for just a one time change... yes you can delete them but maybe you forget and your inventory starts getting clogged.
