Hello, i need to know about my history in Second Life, I need a record for the places I have been, by now I need to go to a place I have been a few months ago, I don't remember where it was. It must be recorded, can Linden Lab give us a record of our life inworld?

One day in a galaxy far far away, there was darkness. And in the darkness a voice burst forth and said "Let there be Philip". And Philip Linden came to be, and the voice then said to Philip, "go forward and propagate your world with your imagination", and Philip went forward and created the Main Grid (ALL HAIL THE MAIN GRID). When the Main Grid (ALL HAIL THE MAIN GRID) was created, Philip said "Let there be light", and light came into existence and shone through the Grid, and Philip saw the light and knew that it was good.

And eventually several thousand years later, you are born.

Should i do the full LL Genesis?

If you have your local chat log, you can open it and find where it states you've teleported from.

It might be too big for some editors to open.

My 43 million byte chat log is too big for SciTE to handle.

Wordpad opens it fine.

You can search for "Teleport completed from" to find that sort of message, or search for "secondlife://" to find places people mentioned if they used that sort of secondlife url, or if you used a text editor that allows wild card searches, you might be able to find series of numbers separated by slashes or commas, etc.

Looking ahead, you can get scripted objects that record your whereabouts and let you go back and forth to places somewhat like you can with pages in a browser.

You can also make landmarks in many places, and find those either in the map or in your inventory in the landmark folder.

You can also put the landmarks in notecards with some comments to help them make sense later.

The probablity of getting LL to give you a list of where you've been is close to zero, I suspect.

If you can describe a place you want to remember, folks here might know. Reader's here have found places from descriptions I would have thought were hopelessly vague.

The MystiTool from Mystical Cookie has a TP history feature which goes back over your last 45 (I think) TPs. Not sure if the freebie version has the history feature, but I think so.

A built-in history feature in the browser that was simpler than looking back through chat logs would be very nice though.
