I have noticed that I hardly ever check the SL blog unless something is wrong and I have connection problems, even though I really ought to check more often.
In any case, I am not the only one - many residents just are not aware of what's happening in relation to SL because they don't check the blog, or do so long after a new blog entry has been posted addressing an issue affecting them, resulting in many minutes or hours of frustration which could otherwise be avoided.
So....
Wouldn't it be great to have a RSS feed of the SL blog in the client?
...nothing fancy required - just a notice similar to what you give when you do rolling restarts would be adequate I think. We just need to know there is a new blog entry - we can then choose to (or not choose to) read more about it on the website.
