Tab-completion like on IRC.

a feature that i really mis on the chat is tab-completion, like most IRC clients have. I think it would be really handy to have that. I think it should be active in the regular chat as well as in IM, and should count for everyone on your friend list (online and offline)and everyone in chat range, that should cover most of the names often used in chats by people.

I like this idea as well, mIRC does this well, you type the first letter of a person's name and hit TAB repeatedly, it shows a name that begins with that letter, you just keep hitting TAB until it completes the person's name that you want.

I like the idea that it completes first from a list of people who can hear you talk (and shout?) then goes to your friends list.

It should have an option for choosing first, last, or first-and-last names to be displayed.

Example, in a club, somone wants to say hi to me, near by are Gabe, Gacky, Himself, Irving and Gando:

Hi G<TAB>
Hi Gabe<TAB>
Hi Gacky<TAB>
Hi Gando

Choosing first-and-last names would display:

Hi Gando Thurston

-Gando

Or maybe activate last names if SHIFT-TAB is used.
