Here is a very simple one: When you select a color for an object, there is a little space where you can store custom colors. This is good. When I select a texture for the object, I always have to go through my looong list of textures and find it, and I don't always know the name of the texture off the top of my head. Maybe a panel for commonly used textures? Or maybe put them at the top of this list? The absence of one thing confuses me: There are buttons for BLANK and DEFAULT textures, which is handy. But I think a lot more people use the transparency texture. What if I didn't have to pull out one of many transparency textures floating around? What if along with BLANK and DEFAULT, there was also TRANSPARENT? The amount of workload this would cut down on for me is immense

Just a hunch, but I bet the lack of a transparency button (and texture) was implemented, as it is, by design -- in order to avoid the potential for many many transparent objects created -- but "lost". "Lost" because the new users of the build tools might not realize how to find them again. "ooh my widget is gone".. hrm I'll guess I have to make another... and another...
Still it would be nice to have a button for a favorite texture (and general clean up/control over the texture selection list.

There IS transparency. You can set to default or blank and turn the transparency way down (or would that be up?) but it will not be 100% clear for reasons I imagine wew noted in the last post. If you need a totally clear texture, many people have them inworld including myself. If you have one and want it easier to locate, rename it ....clear or aaa_clear or _clear so its at the top of your list
