When I'm working with something very closely zoomed in (especially tiny prims), the glowy yellow selection hilite effect can get overwhelming to the point where it's difficult for me to see my actual prim.
I just wanted to ask for a checkbox somewhere (maybe even if only in Debug) to disable the hilight-current-selection feature.
Thanks =)

I agree. Both the highlight and the wireframe can make it hard to see the object properly.

I agree, in extreme closeups, it hides exactely what you're tying to see.

I endorse this idea/feature. Its mesmerizing to watch sometimes, but also can be anoying.

Silly question maybe, but have you looked in the Debug menu?

You can turn the wireframe off with the Tools menu, by unchecking "Show Hidden Selection."

I think Kex means the golden glow that surrounds the current selection independent of the wireframe.
