A pet peve of mine is the "Snapshot" button at the bottom of our screen. I think there should be an option to take it out of your menu there or to replace it with the "`" hi-rez shots option.

I have been lagged at events before and been trying to hit a button on either side of this and instead hit the "Snapshot" button which automatically takes a picture and $10L of my Linden Dollars. It's just annoying to have to pay for a botch. Please either include an option to switch to the hi-rez shots which save to the HD or to give us the option to take it out from the bottom so money isn't wasted (I never used Snapshot anymore since I learned about the hi-rez version which is much nicer AND gives us the option to upload/pay for what we want.. no wasted money).

Please consider this Lindens.

Yesssss, big peeve of mine too.

Two possible solutions:

1) An option in preferences for "All Snapshots Go To HD" or could be worded "Snapshot Button Acts As ` ".

2) An approval window, with a preview of the snapshot and a "Save" and "Discard" button, clicking the "Save" would upload the picture, charge you 10L$, and save it to your Inventory. "Discard" would totaly delete it and not charge you any L$ (it would not go to your Trash folder, or maybe it would, with the option to "Save" it still so you could maybe change your mind, but you wouldn't be able to use it untill its saved).

Either of these two options will make me happy, or maybe even do them BOTH, that would make me extremely happy. I hate it when I'm tired or acting quick and I mean to click another window in my task bar but miss and click Snapshot, I cringe and curse obsenities every time. Same thing when I mean to click the other buttons.

I totally agree. I took a picture purely on accident my first day of trial. Wondered for hours how I spent $10L. When I found out I was furious.

Then two days later I accidently clicked the snapshot button again. Angry?? YES

The snapshot button should DEFINATELY have a second choice.... do you want to save this shot... kind of thing.

I have NO use for those two stupid pictures I accidently took, and MUCH use for the 20L$ it cost me.

Any way of getting a refund?

Personally, I don't bother with the toolbar at all. I just use key commands for everything on it, since I learned them all back in the day when the dropdown title bar menus were so slow. The only option on the toolbar that doesn't have a corresponding key command is the "Stand Up" button, and to do that, you have to right-click on your avatar. Additionally, there's no way to see if you have any incoming messages without the toolbar.

I suggest that the Lindens add a feature to detect whether the toolbar is displayed, and if not, add a blinking IM indicator to the right side of the drop-down menu bar, as well as place "stand up" next to "release keys" in the bottom right.

Aside from these two problems, I think the client is easier to use without it in the way. View > Toolbar removes it and with it, any chance of you accidentally taking a picture.

Since not alot of us are professional photographers to start with I would suggest a confirmation button once picture is taken to either keep or reject. If you like the picture you keep it.. if not you reject it at which time you are not charged for it nor does it go to your inventory.

I slap my forehead everytime I do this and think to myself, well I just contributed to the Lindens petty cash fund again. Maybe they pay bonuses out of this fund.. :D
