what about slowing down logins for non-payment info users, when there is a 20,000 Accounts online there is a line that is login at each 15-5mins(per 2 or 3 people) this will stop griefers, this would still be fair to those that have basic non-verf. accounts. this would stop major lag form too much. Believe limiting a account to creation is just wrong, everyone should have a right to use space like anyone else.

when I mean unverf I mean no payment info on file and this means all people that have payment info will get in just fine (sim/small land owners).

Basically amounts to the same thing LL already promised, restricted access.

Say you have 3 hours during which the number online is high, and you limit unverifieds to one login every 15 minutes. That's 12 unverified accounts who have managed to login out of thousands. You may as well have not let any of them login.

This post doesn't mean I'm in support of limits, and this footnote doesn't mean I'm not going to support them, so please don't flame me for it :p

this will stop griefers

No, really it won't. Because an awful lot of griefers will be in that first 20,000 or whatever other arbitrary number, and many others have premium accounts.

It may serve other useful purposes and increase the general "quality of life" in SL, but it will do little to stop griefers.

Not really all that hard if you consider a quick check during the login process.

User verified acct = allow login

Else Number of unverified accounts logged in vs unverified accounts allowed at any time =/or less then 5k.

So, if theres 5k unverified and unknown amount verified, then verified users get in. anybody else trying to get in will have to either wait until one of the unverified's leave or verify thier account.

This will only limit the amount of non paying users. I agree, free is nice - but im paying for it.
