How about a built-in Time Convertor

This is a suggestion for the events entries of the Second Life site.

I live in Australia an we are on the west of the International Date line. That means not only are times entirely different, but often our date is one day ahead! It can be confusing to get messages advertising events which are only in Californian (SL) time. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Why not have a built in "time converter" for International and non Californian time-zone users?

One group that I'm in - "GimpGirl" advertises its events in the gimpgirl live journal community. When they do (like in the example here), they usually put it in the following format...

Sunday, August 3rd from 11:30 - 12:30 PM SLT/Pacific.
(2:30 PM Eastern Time, for other timezones, click HERE )

...where the HERE goes to a page at the Time Converter Calculator where the viewer can select their own timezone and determine the equivalent date and time.

Why not have some form of facility of this in the events entries (or better yet, inside the browser)? It would make life easier for those overseas to plan for the events.

First of all.. that sounds like a great idea!

Second, for future reference.. double-posting is not allowed; however, i understand this was not intentional.. so, no worries. :)
