The Lindens considered the phantom av hacks to be exploits, and I believe they patched up the last one a couple versions back. I'm afraid you're out of luck here. There is now no known way to make an av phantom.

*sniffs* i hope we get it back someday. I can't be Meroko without her divine power of going thru walls.

The only way we'd get it back is if the Lindens completely reversed their stance on phantom avs. They view it as a griefing/privacy-invasion tool, and as such are very much against it.
It would take a lot of convincing from upstanding community members to get them to reconsider, and as of yet I haven't seen much of this.
Edit: I should mention that there were a number of these people who protested the Linden patch-ups; however, these were mostly out of telehub-to-destination flight concerns, which are now moot with the advent of P2P.

Well, the argument against phantom avs is ridiculous. If walls actually kept people out of a place then it might make sense, but they do not. They really don't even make it harder.

you can kinda-sorta fake it in multiple ways, though, including "using a non-physical moving 'vehicle' to simulate flight", or dropping a sit-teleport, or just rezzing a cube, sitting on it, edit-drag it through a wall... not as handy as phantom, but you can do something with it.

The phantom AV holes were plugged in 1.7. I would like to thank both Andrew Linden and the rats^H^H^H^Hresidents who helped him discover those holes for making SL less enjoyable and usable.

I may have a solution that both fills part of the roll of missing phantom shields, and encourages the implementation of havok 2 . Moving very fast will let you tunnel through objects. I may be able to make an attachment (or possibly one has already been made) that will allow you to move in small very fast physical jumps. This would allow you to pass through walls without sit hacking. it would be clunkier than the phantom shield, and would not make you immune to bullets, but it would allow the moving through objects bit. Implementing a new physics engine would be about the only way to patch this one.
