It would be nice if the "X has left this session." messages didn't count as a "true IM" and require the opening up the IM window in order to remove the 'IM Received' button at the bottom.
This is especially annoying with large group IMs where about 10 people sporadically leave the session.

This is especially annoying when it comes out of the blue when I haven't even messaged that group for a day or more. One person leaves the "session", prompting everyone else to also hit close, which also sends "left this session" IMs. I don't know what method is used for determining IM sessions, but the "left this session" functionality is definitely broken.

I always though that you only got that message if someone had actually said something in the group IM. Others leave silently.
