No More Campers!

You want to know why businesses fail here in SL, its due to allowing 100's of camping pad on sims!! its ridiculous! Starting a club or business is like diggin thru a pile of horse feces because its 200 ppl on camping pads on every sim. its a damn shame. I seriously feel LL should limit the number of camping pads on a sim, its ridiculous man. ppl put real money into this and it didnt come from camping their way thru SL. I feel like LL set us all up for failure by allowing camping.You want to add real life dollars to a virtual world, then add real life common sense. In this world we dont camp to pay our rent, so why should we allow it here. Nor do we fly or any other unreal stuff. but this camping stuff has to go.

What even more sad is its almost may and the game will be getting even more of those campers. Not sure how many real people are online but if there is 50,000 i assume no more then 10,000 are real. All the others are just money makers.and many say freebie accounts buy money? I don`t think so.

MOST DEFINITELY! ITS SAD! i feel like being in SL is a waste of time and money if no one is looking for ways to make real money, i understand everyone does not have cash to pay for the stuff here in SL but i do know that if only the "wealthy" can pay for clothes,shoes, and land, then on the front of the website it should say, **we cost as much as real life**

Its seems more like LLABS is rewarding people that holds 30 or more campers then trying to stop it. If you look at the top locations listing all you find is camper sites. Whats the sence of having top listing of lcoation when all there are is campers? It makes you think what is really happening with those sites tha are only full of AFK and bots. I dislike the new style Sl, but strange is look at the number of people posting on the forum and those inthe game? How many are really campers here.....more likey 70% or higher.

We at Hosoi ichiba only allow 12 'campers' max. Those 'campers' are real people having conversations and doing Tai Chi. They also keep an eye on the Ichiba for us. I wouldn't want to call them 'campers' they are almost personell for us. The Tai Chi is adding a nice axtra to the Ichiba as it is.

It costs us between 1500 and 2500 a day but its worth it.

Doesn't matter, if they are AFK near 24/7 they might as well be bots.
Possibly if traffic only counted Paynent & Age verified residents.
Traffic should be comparing potential buyers not standers.

Being payment verified is easy and doesn't cost anything. Apart from possibly banning some users in foreign countries from being able to camp, it wouldn't change anything.

Hmm don't you need a valid credit card or paypal account and to actually buy something for payment verified, could be a pain in the butt for 100 bots.
And IF Age verifications so good it should sort out duplicate accounts nicely too.

Many people camp to earn money to spend in SL, some even to pay their rent. Not all campers are bots, nor are they all AFK.
Many noobs work learning psp or photoshop etc while camping to create things they can sell. The little money they make at camp helps with uploading textures.

You don't have to buy anything to get payment verified status, that I know of. Also, as far as I know, there is no alt limit any more, so there is no longer any need to "hide" alts by using different identity information or leaving them unverified.

It's far from dead but camping and botting is definitely on the decline. Traffic doesn't do as much as it used to do, and fewer merchants are willing to bother with it now. Of those that still have it, more and more are offering such small payouts that their pads sit idle. There will probably always be a subset who will keep trying every possible gimmick just in case, but the erosion is quite visible if one looks around and talks to people.
