Unless I'm staring at my money indicator, I'll miss it.

My suggestion is to echo it to the screen the same way "so and so is online/offline" messages, thus trapping it into the Chat History along with the name of the person who paid me whatever amount:

(echo on screen) Philip Linden paid you $220

(into chat history window) Philip Linden paid you $220

Also, besides paying money to an object owned by someone, is there another way of paying someone "long distance" ?

pay help

Shebang, that's exactly what my SLotto script does -- echoes name and amount paid to screen, and additionally emails me the info. That way the person paying can confirm their amount. And I don't have to be there to see the transaction to know who paid what.

IM me tonight inworld and I'd be happy to help. :)

Kerstin, Thanks! I was attempting that last night but kept only being able to get the payor's UUID which is not helpful to me =)

(the IM and email routines I've got down pat, thanks to my doorbell & loan app. scripts)

Specifically tho, I was talking here about when you click on another avatar and choose "pay" -- nothing shows up to indicate that you've just been paid then. Nothing other than your cash indicator showing a new amount, that is.

Val, I don't think so, but what the heck do *I* know? <G> I also don't know if you can pay *any* object, or just those that have a money(....) call in a script that is contained within the object.

In the same respect it would be nice to be able to check which exact items you have sold and the quantity. Serious sellers will want to know what is good on the market and which items to roll off their inventory.

Steller, I agree. Of course, that won't work too well for folks who name everything "Object" =)
