Copy/paste objects

Often when I am building something, I find I need another object just like the one I'm working on, with two position co-ordinates the same and one different.

Let's say I'm building a wall, and I have a 2x2x0.5 block at (100, 200, 25). I will soon need another 2x2x0.5 block, at (100, 201, 25).

So what I'd like is some sort of object copy/paste, such that a new object with the same dimensions is created with the same co-ordinates, and is automatically selected and being edited.

Note that this is different from copying the object in to inventory then pulling it out, because when creating the object from inventory, it is impossible to position it precisley, and you have to get the values from the first object and copy them by hand to the second object.

I'm a little tired so might not be recalling correctly, and of course the game is down, but I thought there was a mechanism for this, involving shift-dragging or some such.

Copy Selected

Under create there is a check box with Copy Selected by it. It will copy the selected and align it with the face of the object you select.

If you look in your inventory under Objects there is a directory named Spoiled Brat. In that directory you will find an object named pony.

The shift drag goes like this....open edit window if not opened already when this is needed. hold shift key click twice(supposed to work with one click-drag but I find it only working 50% of the time) on the position arrow in the direction you want the object, on the second click hold the mouse button drag the arrow till you have 2 objects.
