Mods for better fat avatars!

I am a slim female avatar but I have played about with different shapes and sizes (in private, of course!) and while you can make realistic skinny or plump-ish shapes, if you try to make a realistic obese avatar, the hands disappear into the 'love-handles' or hips!

So that aspiring fatties get a better deal in SL, could I suggest that an additional facility on the sliders be added to allow the angle at which the arms hang to be varied? Also the upper belly on the torso section could do with a bit more expansion room to match the lower section that goes with the legs.

As another super-sized girl in Sl, I second the motion!

Drop me a line in game and we can compare notes. It IS possible with some poses and stands to have the arms angle out some to partially releve the problem, but it's almost always there.

I smoke in Sl, and it's really frustrating to have smoke coming out of my right thigh because my hand has dissapeared!

There is a a fat kit in SL (check out the BBW/BHM lounge) that has a fat AO included that will have your arms out at an angle when walking and parked on your hips while standing. Couple that with a very slow walk and you've got something that is not too bad, considering the alternative.

Ah! I intend to stay slim and relatively pretty but if I ever need an Alt they will probably be fat!

Well hon, just to let you know, in SL, just as IRL, skinny chicks can be thin and skaggy and even uglyier than sin. Fat chicks (or plump or zaftig or heavy-set) can be big and beautiful, fat and very hot or plump and homly or obese and ugly.

it's just that in SL, we have a choice, and depending on how skilled or well-funded you are, you can be what you want to be, look like you want to look. As my skills are limited and my $Lindens a little short, I depend a lot on my friends and I think I am the richest fat chick in all of SL!!!

My choice? FAT and HOT!

One of my many unfinished projects...an AO to keep my hands out of my hips. Thanks for the pointer to the existing script!

My wish list would include a better female shape on the bottom. The thighs and lower belly can't be shaped much, and wide hips results in space between the legs.

You can't do a good pear shape.

Higher-resolution clothing templates would help more than anything.
