No Payment Info improvement

Problem:

1. LL's open registration allows people to repeatedly create alt accounts to cause iritation. (Though it has some positive effects to - this isn't about bashing LL)

2. Denying access to people without payment info cuts out a portion of the people who are genuine residents but have reasons for having no payment info.

Suggestion:

Allow me a means of configuring the access list to deny people without payment info, UNLESS they are in a list of groups I specify. Therefore I can control 'exceptions' by allowing specific people to join a group and still get into the sim.

Comments?

i personal thing that accounts should be limited to 1 free one per IP and then the normal $9.99 charge for all alts like i paid for mine. that'll slove alot of the problems to.

Thanks - please constrain responses to comments about the proposal, so this doesn't turn into another thread about whether LL made a mistake, or 200 other possible means of fixing the problem. Is the proposal good or can it be improved, is the topic at hand.

I think this is actually a pretty good idea, another idea I think that would work possibly in conjunction with the one you suggested is no payment info banned unless they're over x days old where x is a defineable value, having a system where you can set multiple rules and exceptions independently would make for greater control... also group specific bans would be nice though to work I think they'd have to be hidden on the land info display to prevent people from just leaving a group to sidestep them.
