Aside from the already mentioned wonderful ideas of having some folders in there .....

Could it show only the people online for tracking people? I pass about 5 or 6 offline people for every online one most of the time as I scroll down that list. I mean, is there a point to showing -everyone-? It already updates to show is online and who isn't, so instead of just fading those who aren't online, can it hide them?

Thanks!

Very good idea. I like this better than the folders ideas

yeah, i don't think my list would span the entire height of the screen if it didn't show offline avatars :P

but having folders for landmarks would be good...

and when editing objects, how about keeping the folder structure in that list? in my inventory, i've got all my textures neatly sorted, but when i use that drop-down list, they're all there in one big jumble...

I concur with Phil...

having the directory structure remain when using pull-down texture boxes would be great!

Another thing about maps I'd like to see is a different highlight colour for those people in your group.

This was sorta half implemented (for map tracking) with .7.0 .... but I still wonder why offline people need to show up on that list at all? I can't click on them. Is there something other people are able to do there that I can't?
