This is a kludgey method of making a system for people to ask for help from SL Mentors, Greeters, etc.

A member of one of the volunteer groups that has access to use of servers creates a domain with a name like slhelp.com.

A forum is run on the server, a forum designed to display requests for help from sl users.

An email address used to receive help messages such as help@slhelp.com is created.

A mail processor is run on the server to process messages received from the SL snapshot postcard system sent to help@slhelp.com , similar to how Snapzilla processes snapshot postcards.

When someone has a question for the SL Volunteers, they send a snapshot postcard to help@slhelp.com with their question.

The text from these messages are posted in the slhelp forum.

Replies to the forum questions are only allowed to be made by members of the SL Volunteer groups. This would be done by requiring volunteers that want to participate to register at inworld kiosks, which would use scripts in objects deeded to the various SL volunteer groups to verify that a person is a member of one of the groups.

When a reply is posted to the forum, a page with a name slhelp.com/FirstnameLastname is created to hold each questioners questions and answers, with the most recent entries on top, like a blog. The page would be formatted to display in usable form in a person's web tab profile.

For volunteers to see the questions as they appear, they'd change the homepage url for their F1 browser to the url of the slhelp forum, so when they felt like trying to answer questions they'd just press F1, when they didn't, they'd close the help window.

This is a kludgey sort of idea, but it has the merit of not requiring any action on LL's part.

Well there you go, this is just an off the cuff idea, thinking while writing, if I let this sort of thing go without writing it down I usually just forget about it.
