How about email notification for events? Often I'll clicky 'Notify' for an event I've found in Search, but then if it's hours away, I'm not necessarily gonna stay logged in to SL (RL does need attending sometime:) ). And then I forget the time and that the event is coming up. Email notification would obviously remind me, so I won't miss it:)
