Add capability in the Object General Tab to apply the current object's permissions to all objects/scripts/textures/sounds/notecards/etc. inside the Contents.

I thought LL had plans to dump the whole permission system and move to a Creative Commons licensing scheme.

It was surely a joke. Kind of like making everything in the world open source. Creative Commons is sort of like the gpl for non-software such as books and music I think.
