I'd like to be able to shift-copy objects while they are locked, if possible. Hopefully that's not too tough because of how it's currently implemented (is the copy a new object, or the original? hopefully it's a new one but I'm guessing it isn't...)

IIRC, when you shift-copy, you move the original and leave a new copy behind.

That's what I thought. Would be nice to have the shift copy override the "lock" in this case though.
