Okay, I get this all the time. Someone I have never met in SL before sends a 'Would you like to be my friend' offer. I look all around and cannot see their avatar anywhere so in those cases it makes perfect sense for me to decline.

It would be nice to have an option to send a response when declining where they could be told why.

That is what I do at times. I look them up before I Hit the decline button and ask them can I help them. Then I tell them that I am declining the friendship but I can be of help anyway.

I run a service business in SL and I CAter to alot of new players - so I have to sometimes accept these. I do not take my friend's list that seriously most of the time. I Do not need a list to know who my friends are.

I see the friend's list as one of those old highschool 'slam books' where folks you meet 'tag' the book. As far as friend's go- I do not need a computerized list to tell me who my friend's are.

Thanks guys, I have used the search function a lot for places but did not realize it could be used to find any resident. Just found myself on there :D but it would still be good to be able to edit the response before sending a decline.
