A new class, taught by LL maybe?

What seems to be the hardest part of LSL is the way quaternions (is that even right?) work. I think that somebody who knows there stuff about quaternions and other rotational elements of LSL (mainly the Lindens, but others would work just fine too) should teach a class about it. Am I the only person ready and willing to endure 100 classes just to understand it? :D

There was a class taught on rotations and quaternions not too long ago in the SL Physics Workshop - by the one and only Andrew Linden! Notecards from this event are available at Kazenojin Outfitters in Gray.

This is a class that should be added to the "needed and wanted" list for SLU, as well. (Just as soon as someone else really does understand quaternions and is prepared to demonstrate.)

I wrote some material on rotations and quaternions for the last version of the LSL.CHM file. (available at

/invalid_link.html )

Click on "User's Manual" in the Table of Contents, and go to the topic titled "Rotations."

For the most part, you don't need to deal with quaternions directly; you can use llEuler2Rot and llRot2Euler and just deal with roll, pitch, and yaw instead.

I'd like to see classes somewhere between "Hello Avatar!" and this suggestion.
