Either discontinue alts or...

Make it so that if a person is banned from one land their alts aren't allowed either. (MAC BAN).

Stuff like this is making second life not worth being apart of because there are so many people abusing this system and even if you have a suspicion you know who the main avie is, that's not really enough to go on.

As long as it doesn't open the door for finding out whose alts are whose.

There are good reasons for having alts, too.

There are however it's also being abused right now so a system to weed out abusive alts vs. good reasons should be an option.

Well, i cannot say i agree with this. Couldn't this lead to banning entire schools or cyber cafe's and organizations that share one IP or network for accessing SL?

not if it's MAC address and don't schools monitor what programs are being used? The owner of the land doesn't have to see all the person's alts or main for this feature to be implemented for privacy concerns nor the MAC address.

Maybe it will make people think twice about abusing others using an alt as a mask?

If you are abusing the alt system I can see why you would be upset but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

All this is doing is teaching people not to be accountable for their actions and they can harrass others with no penalties considering if it's reported it turns into your word against theirs.

In a corporation, if there are no checks and balances, there would be more harrassment in the work place. People wouldn't get raises, people would be discriminated against and get away with it, more bullying but because there is a penalty and someone could possibly have their butts taken to court over it or get fired, it keeps people at least thinking about boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.

If second life is all about the numbers now and encourage multiple viewers for alts, why not give those who are tired of people abusing that a way to ban the alt which results in banning of all the person's other alts and main?

It's a reasonable request unless of course, you are abusing it and don't want to be held accountable for your own wrong doings.

It's time for this change.

A MAC ban is pretty easily circumvented.
