Enhance banning to allow:
*banning to groups of individuals; they cannot re-subscribe.
*automatic banning to group linked to land when an individual is banned from parcel or estate level.
*perhaps suspension (time limited) banning option.

Banning Groups?
That will be interesting. They already did that once with W-Hat. _____________________

And LL already has "Time Limit" banning and it is called "Suspension".
Or are you referring to Land Tools and banning? _____________________

Actually, I think banning en masse, banning groups to either your group or land, is a bad idea and is not at all what I am suggesting.
What I am suggesting is 1) banning individuals to groups; at this point, an ejected Group member can re-subscribe at will. 2) Ejecting and banning from a group anyone banned from land that group owns. (Privately owned land would not have any added functionality.) 3) Suspension sort of time limited banning option, perhaps, as a land tool. |

Banning

why can this not be handled as is now with sec balls? They could be enhanced and also give choices on styles , cost, etc rather then locking down the land via LL. Who likes those red lines!

I would support that. ![]() _____________________

Group bans are not possible at all at this time; griefers and spammers take advantage of this, resubscribing without consequences. For land: because security balls have range limits, appropriately, and must often be edited in proximity which is not always what land or estate or group owners need. They are useful for home owners who might not own the land, or when you need to ban people from a limited area. And all such scripted devices contribute to lag. There are separate suggestions for the red lines going away, or going away after a time. |

IP Banning

What would be really good is if we could ban users by IP - right now it's just as easy for them to create a new account and come back. Banning their IP would prevent this.

Lots of operators are using dynamic IP so you can only ban entire IP range which means you are banning several people because of one. _____________________

In the land of alts, banning is a joke. So true.. I banned all the Linden's from my land, and they came back as Alts and jeered.. *shakes head sadly* But then again, as alts, they didn't have god mode, so I smote them with skittles! |

with my landbodyguard hud system, I can set ban times for parcels. I can give you a 5 min ban or 150 or even infinite if I wanted too.
